Vision Quest
"I embarked on this journey organised by Kiymet without questions, fears or doubts. It was such a great experience. Gentle and smooth. Just as it should be. I have been accompanied from the beginning to the endin this vision quest. Guardianship of the fire, she patiently waited for everyone to comeback. Always connected with each of us, we just had to follow back this link once the guidance and answers were received. It was the first time in my life I was so close to forest, and all the spirits of the land. Thank you Kiymet. Thank you as well for the reflections we had in the morning. We never know when some insightful messages come. The slug joke is the embodiment of this. If we pay attention to nature many things become clear"

The traditional vision quest is a rite of passage, similar to an initiation, in some Native American cultures. In traditional Lakota culture the Hanblecheyapi (vision quest, literally “crying for a vision”) is one of seven main rites.

Like Native Americans, Norse shamans believed it was possible to open the door to the spiritual world, and by doing so, we can find the true purpose of life. Utiseta served as a method that offered guidance to those who needed to discover the path in life. In Northern Europe, Utiseta was an ancient meditation technique practiced by Norse shamans.

A contemporary Vision Quest is also a profound journey of self-discovery, reflection, and spiritual growth. It offers an opportunity to connect deeply with nature, explore your inner landscape, and gain clarity on your life’s path. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Bex, you will have the space and time to meditate, reflect, and seek guidance from within. The whole experience is held in a secure and sacred container.

The Autumn Equinox marks a moment when day and night are nearly equal in length, symbolizing balance and harmony. It is a time of balance and reflection, making it the perfect moment for a Vision Quest. As the season transitions from summer to autumn, it symbolizes a time of transformation. It’s an opportunity to let go of what no longer serves us, making space for new growth and beginnings.

The event is help at Bex, a cosy hotel is booked and there will not be other guests staying there.
General outline:
• Arrival at 16:00 on Saturday
o introducing the practice and preparing ourselves
o simple and light dinner
o salted warm bath
• At nightfall, we venture outside for the work to unfold
o feel your intention/question, listen to nature, let yourself be open to the answers coming either from outside or manifesting as a thought or a feeling inside you. As we gather during the autumn equinox the general message of this event is around “deconstructing – receiving the sources to find the balance - constructing”.
o As the fire keeper I wait for everyone to come back, no time limit, if it takes until the early lights of the day, it is ok. All will be explained in detail when we meet.
• Sunday morning we gather around the breakfast table, optional feedback time.
• Departure around 10:00am
